According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 350 million people worldwide suffer from depression. It is a leading cause of disability. 25 million Americans suffer from Depression each year. More Americans suffer from Depression than Coronary Heart Disease, Cancer, and HIV/AIDS
1 in 5 women and 1 in 7 men have been victims of severe physical violence by an intimate partner in their lifetime. physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States. During one year, this equates to more than 10 million women and men.
In December 2018, there were 63,495 homeless people, including 15,586 homeless families with 23,655 homeless children, sleeping each night in the New York City municipal shelter system.
